Lending a (Camera-Holding) Hand
The Site

Weddings are about many things, most importantly, the ceremony of the union. Couples put a lot of energy into many of the details surrounding this ritual and having photographs to remember it are essential. When selecting a ceremony site consider the light, background and surroundings, climate, sounds, etc. If using microphones, consider wireless so they will be unseen. It is also helpful if the wedding officiate can step back or aside a little during ring exchanges and first kiss, etc to allow unobstructed shots.
Love is All

9) Allow the love between you to matter most. There are so many things that can go differently than you planned, and do. Try not to sweat the small stuff. When my wife and I were married years ago, we had accendly skipped over one of the rituals at our ceremony (something that mattered greatly to us in the planning stages), and somehow it was fine. There is no amount of Photoshop work that can be done in post-production for stress so make an effort to remember why your having the event in the first place, to celebrate your love.

Crazy times…

The focus has been so intense on promotion of the work that hauls in the dough. The time for painting will come again, for now I get to sketch my kids and work on photoshop in spare bits of time.
Any wolf lovers in your world?

I thought I would share that my book “Neither God nor Devil” is on remainder and is selling for less that I was paying for it directly from the publisher. You can find it here (a resource for books online).
There are a number of reviews for it here.
Newfound respect for softie creators
I admit I have always thought it would be fun to create a character out of fabric, dress it, pose it… much like dolls I had when I was little. Creating an illustration is similar except that there are different limitations. Now that I am creating a softie of my own I can see that designers and creators of softies have a talent that I do not seem to have. Last night I stayed up until 1 creating what was possibly the most hideous stuffed bird known to man. It was so bad that my daughter (who will play with anything, naming green beans in the garden, etc) did not have any desire to even touch it!
Tonight I took it apart (I should have photographed it- but I could not wait to take it apart). I started again with the same parts and a little more knowledge.
I don’t know if it will be worthwhile to post a pattern I am not sure I could create the same thing twice myself nevertheless instruct someone else to do it! Instead I am going to giveaway a “hope” ornament in copper wire. I’ll post more about that later but if you want to enter the giveaway just post a comment to this post.
