I was hoping to have the time and inspiration to create some user friendly crafts but- no luck. Instead my constant bird muse has enticed me to make wire bird ornaments that are impossible to duplicate. One of a kind is nice but not when you want to make a post of how to make something!
Here are some pictures anyway. The “hope” ornament is inspired by our new president elect.
You’ll find more on etsy.

Just kidding, we both copied calder it seems. I really love the new catalog on their site. This past spring I created a similar mobile with copper wire.

SO now that I have finished some gifts from last year maybe I can start on this year’s gifts. I have some fun ideas that I can’t wait to try!
This scarf is soft merino wool and it buttons on the edge so it will not fall off.
I’ve been meaning to make a post about holiday projects but have yet to start those well meaning gift projects. Instead I am finishing a project from last year, a scarf for my daughter. I found a tutorial online about how to make a pom pom- I’ll post her scarf when it is done : )
I’ve been busy in the studio- Yippee!

I am happy to announce that my illustrations were noticed by the folks at illustrophile.
The giveaway winner has been chosen and my little bird and baby have flown away. Michelle, congratulations.
Look for more giveaways in the future which will be easier to enter… I promise!
